Department of Commerce Automation & Management

1. Mission

The program aims to develop mid-to-high level management professionals who are capable of both applying information technology skills and planning in alliance with manufacturing and commerce on the basis of an integrated vision for a better future.

E-business is an important source of corporate competitiveness. The overall mission is to train students how to apply information technology in order to transform and innovate business models, strengthen core values, and foster e-planning and management skills.

2. Program features

Besides acquiring general management knowledge and skills vital for today’s information technology professional, students will acquire specialized knowledge about innovation management, cross-organizational process analysis, and logical rationalization training. At the same time, they are expected to grasp and develop the business operation model and concepts of E-business and business automation, paying equal attention to analytic skills and management decision-making skills in dealing with mass, fast-flowing information.

Curriculum development is focused on four business streams (business flow, logistics, information flow, cash flow) of the electronic courses, supplemented by an international range of management courses. Some courses are conducted in bilingual or all-English settings in order to express a full range of professional and communication skills vital to our global goals.

3. Faculty

The teachers are all Ph.D. degree holders majoring in business administration, industrial management, information management, financial management, accounting and other expertise, possess many years of teaching and practical experience, and have a number of professional certifications. They teach courses based on the four business streams (business flow, logistics, information flow, cash flow) and provide excellent training of medium and high level management personnel.

4. Equipment and resources

We have professional corporate electronic classrooms for supply chain management (SCM), enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM), and radio frequency identification (RFID).
